Great, now that my birthday's over, I still have presents coming in. But then these presents... I don't know if they're from a sincere heart. You know who you are out there. You just gotta prove it to me, ya?
I went to service today and as usual, everybody is finding a place to sit. I got settled down and then I was surprisingly greeted by one of my cell group mates. It's very seldom that she would come over, call my name and pass something to me. And the thing she passed me was a DVD, thrown into an "Attributes" plastic bag, which I can even tell that she and some others have shared the cost to just buy it minutes ago. Yea yea... and the traditional greeting like - Happy Belated Birthday - follows.
Okay. I accept the wish, but as I look at the present and the way it is presented... doesn't look very sincere. Now, many of you would wanna know what's on the DVD cover. It says: By Rev. Kong Hee - MANHOOD: Your Word is Your Bond!
Funny isn't it? And after giving me this present, she said this in Singlish, "Must listen to it hor... very good to you one!" I was like, "WHAT???" What's the meaning behind ALL this???!!! Aren't these people really sincere about giving? Or are they just being Christians without a purpose? Can someone please answer me?!
And that's not all! I received another crap present from a group of school girls in my church. Wanna know what's that? A BOOKMARK!!!!! I repeat -
A BOOKMARK!!! My goodness son-of-a-Christ sake!!! How much does a bookmark cost? 2 fucking dollars!!! Get it??
2 FUCKING DOLLARS And it takes so many people to share it???
Look alright, it's not that I'm complaining about the present I received and don't even misunderstand me being so ungrateful. But this is something I MUST speak up about!!! You people just don't know how to be sincere in your giving. If you don't wanna give anything to me... THAT's OKAY!!! Just don't give me CRAPS for fuck sake!!! Worse still, when you just don't even feel like giving just because I ain't close to you. I won't expect anything insincere or hypocritical!
This birthday is the most RIDICULOUS birthday I had and the people around me just makes me BOIL and makes me wanna KILL THEM ALL!!! YOU INSINCERE PIECE OF SHIT!!!
Next birthday I swear I WON'T have parties again. NO MORE PARTIES!!! You jerks are just as good as dead. It'll be better if I celebrate it with my love ones and someone very dear to me, not with some Hoola Hoogans Yakedee Yaks like these crap personas.
The bottom line is this - If you were to understand me, SINCERITY and CAREFUL JUDGEMENTS are factors that will determine whether I'll like you or not. Doesn't matter to me if you like me or not. If I like you; you WILL definitely like me. So stop sending me craps on my birthday. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
